Seemed like it just wanted more money and tries to get you to download other apps to use your phone on the TV that some better apps cover all under one program, so I Uninstaller it. I couldn't even get it to cast, and I'm a pretty savvy IT guy. I was using a Samsung TV and thought it would probably be seamless, boy was I in for a surprise. It was a waste of my time. Hope you guys have a better experience than I did. Glad to have it off my phone. At least it uninstalled without anymore issues.

Not true casting. Has a built in web broweser that integrates search and then tries to load that to the app on the tv, but it sucks. I've fought with it for hours now trying to watch a video on youtube on my tv with my phone so I don't have to use the remote to type in stuff. It's not what I wanted or expected and I encourage you to just skip trying.

I didn't get to use this app because after downloading the app on both my devices the only way to connect the phone to the TV was to scan a QR code (regardless of what the video instructions say) and that led to a paid app. The free version would not work.

After I opened the App, the first thing that comes on screen is the add to buy it, and you can not get out this, when you hit the back button, it tells you that you can not back. I typed in the ip address on app and never connected on samsung tv... I went to FAQ and still doesn't work.... I also have Roku and I use playto and that works like a breeze and no troubles.... the Samsung led TV only has TV cast and it doesn't work at all.... the ip address doesn't work.... I typed it in 100 times and still won't connect... its a piece of garbage, a waste of time and money.... playto is free and works alot easier on roku.... don't download if anyone wants to try it...

It does say TV cast, I can share my photos and personal videos with the app the tv comes with. It works perfectly and I havent had any bad experiences. My suggestion is to go on a free movie or a free tv show website or something because they dont even show the websites ads, then you view one ad on your phone but the tv already started playing your video, and you can close the app and watch on your tv.

Samsung has their own software which is free to use and has a very easy interface. "smart view" you might no longer find it in the appstore but apks are available also if you own a Samsung phone a simple usb c to hdmi cable will give you the choice to screenmirror or cast!

Bumping up to three stars from below. Found in settings my default app was changed from chrome to TV cast. Caveat is I am running free version, so paid may merit more stars. But "gift horse" you know. ................ Works with my Samsung. Streams youtube as well. I would give it more than two stars but you can't disable it. When opening web page (and other Apps) it wraps it's shell around the app.

I bought the ultimate pack just to stream video files from my phone, on local storage, to my $1900 Samsung smart TV. Got a couple 20 minute videos to play without issue, now about 5 minutes in to any video, it backs out of the video and says "temporary error. Please check your network connection and try again later". I try again, same thing happens within 5 minutes. Ludicrous. I'd get a refund if Google didn't make it so hard to do so.

I like the app and have even paid for the full version, but there are a bunch of things that need to be fixed. 1. When I click the link to cast from youtube, most of the time it won't cast at first. I need to reload the page and click the link again 2. If the video is to long, the app stops casting it after about 20 min, making you cast the video again 3. It's hard to fast forward, especially when you need to go to a specific time stamp

I really like the ability to cast to my television. I appreciate it being at no cost. While I do not mind watching one short commercial to access it for the few times a month it is needed, it would be even better of that was not required. Once it connects, it plays excellently. Before you get to the movie, you see an ad. Which is fair. But my only gripe is, whether by accident or design, if the movie dosent start, the first, second or third time, you must Endure ANOTHER commercial as it does not recall that you've already watched your fair share of commercials. Love the app. I've used it for months for casting videos from streaming sites. It's not perfect, but if you're tech savvy, it's not bad. I even bought the paid version. A few improvements I'd love to see are 1. Tabs. Some sites open a pop-up where you can't back out, then you have to start all over and hope it doesn't happen again. 2. Would be nice if the apps playback bar would update quicker/be more responsive, like the YouTube app. 3. A feature to control the volume from the phone would be great. 4. Some sort of Playlist option would be nice for when you're streaming shorter shows. All in all, I would recommend the app. I really hope these features can be added.

Could never successfully cast a YouTube video to a Samsung TV. It requires you to watch a 15s ad everytime you attempt to cast anything (unless you buy premium). The method of casting is also terrible; it scans a page for videos and asks you to click its URL which is obviously going to be a long string of characters that in no way represents the title of the video you actually want to play. Recommendation: get a proper casting system like Chromecast or Roku or something.

I love this app! I bought the full premium version to rid of ads, etc. Now, I watch pretty much anything from my phone directly onto my big screen. Perfect! Keep it up. Thanks! Pointless app. Should be like casting in chromecast or using a cable. It doesn't auto conect using the network settings so you have to set the IP adress(try to explain that to my aunt). I bought your smart tv and your phone. Now you want me to buy this inconvenient and convoluted app too. Should be an included feature. Also wireless screen mirroring without the use of a router, that should be the way to do it and i would pay for that. For now I'll still use the cable.

I'm not sure what the point of this is. I was told to get it as a companion to Smart View, which is supposed to screen mirror, but it doesn't. It allows content from apps that are already on my TV, but why? I can already get that from my TV. Why involve my phone? What utility does it add? Yes, I can look at photos and videos that are on my phone, but only through this app's browser, not my other phone apps. And there is a two second lag when switching photos.

Just doesn't work. Was able to get the TV connected. Then went to youtube. Doesn't seem to work. Nothing to press or click on to begin casting. Then it seems you have to open a browser from within this app. Navigate to youtube, and a casting link shows up. Pressing the link appears to want to start the casting, but the loading symbol just spins and times out after several minutes. Tried several different videos.

I've uninstalled it from my TV and from my phone. Likely if I paid for the premium version it might work as desired but free version never cast any of the Facebook videos I was trying to share to my TV. Had to watch ads that either never played, went on forever, or did not result in video being played after watching the ad. This is not the app I was looking for so moving on. Could not be less intuitive if they tried. It used to work between my Samsung galaxy phone and my Samsung tv, but now, I'm unable to connect. The instructions on the TV app say to press the blue cast button on my device. When I do that, my device tells me to enter the IP address on my TV. I've done that, but to no avail. It still just says press the blue button in the app. It's hopelessly circular. Additionally, the cast button used to be available in YouTube on my phone but has disappeared.

I finally figured out how to use this app with my samsung tv. Its works. Some videos have a selection, depending on quality of the video. The ads is what gets me irritated. I know I'm using it for free but sheesh, everytime I want to start a new video from YouTube I have to watch an ad. Yes it works. After trying many apps to stream from my phone to an older samsung smart tv I cam across this app. It is much easier to set up and use. I used the free app for a while to test it then paid the 4.99 for the full app. Not .01 cent of regret! Edit: Recent update has broken the player. all the videos I used to stream to my T.V. no longer work. Please fix this. Found another cast app that connects up the DLNA fine. WiFi network is 5GHz, channels not issue. Devices all within 10 ft, no interference from other network or devices. Found an app that works easily with no ads or messing about. Web Video Caster by InstantBits. Try making an app like that. Thanks.

Tried the free version, but all the streaming ads make casting to the TV difficult as the list of videos fills up rapidly. Decided to try upgrading to the Pro version to get away from the ads. Worked fine for about 5 hours, then locked up completely. All I get is a red casting icon on my chromebook and no connectivity to the TV. When I check the Pro version in the Play store, it shows my chromebook only has the free version installed. I'm out $5.30 and no streaming. Trying to contact developer to get this fixed or I'll go to the Google play resolution center to see if I can get my money refunded.

Not good. Design looks cheap and unpolished, unofficial and a bit shady. Hate that you have to get a separate app for each brand of tv too. You get the app free but to make it useful you must pay. Free version plays ads for each video you play, and it only succeeds 1/3 of the time so you end up watching several ads, only to have anything longer than 20 minutes or so disconnect and then guess what... You start over because yep, the ff and rewind functions are paid only features too. #failapp

First it requires you to download additional software to proceed with their app, and then after going through its setup process and doing everything to configure the app to the network it then REQUIRES you to watch a 30 second ad of their choosing BEFORE EVERY VIDEO you want to view regardless how short it may be. I quit at this point as there are a lot of better choices that are much more user friendly and wont waste your time like this one does in setup and every time you try. to watch a vid!

I emailed support... never heard anything back. Even if the redirects opened in different windows I could tolerate it and close the new tab BUT it just follows the main path of a 1 page design. Can be a vit tricky to use since you have to choose the right video feom the site (usually one actual content and other videos are ads). Fortunately, the ad in this app only shows up on this smartphone and not on the tv.

I was hoping to use this app with a somewhat "advanced" network config but no luck. I have my TV connected to my phone Hotspot, which my phone wifi has to be "off" to do, I then am able to enter the gateway ip, which is my phone, in my TV app, and the icon on the TV app turns blue, but the phone component still wants me to connect to wifi, and refuses to work. Come on guys, can't we just listen for the connection and skip the whole "connect to wifi" requirement? Poor coding in my opinion.

Great way to send video streams from anywhere on the internet directly to your TV without fiddling with the unreliable TV web browser. Having to watch a 30 second ad before every stream feels excessive and annoying.

I paid for this app thinking I needed to upgrade from the basic app to get all the features so I paid the $7.99 fee then it tells you if you want to download the app for your TV there is an additional $5 charge no thank you refund time

it def has its glitches and bugs, but i think its one of the best apps for free vids on your phone out there. no ads and simple to use interface.

doesnt even work, both my t.v. and phone screen SAY its connected but nope, no success. do yourself a favor, an ethernet cord is cheap, has no stupid ads, and will work 100% of the time. super disappointed.

did not work & even tried the upgrade version with no success. waste of money for sure. tried both the Chromecast and Samsung version for my smart tv with no luck. Paid for both apps for no reason.

My samsung tv is preloaded with apps so why would I need this app because this app only allows you to view site videos through there app only ,which I can already do- unless you Purcha$e there mirror imaging upgrade. Wanted to watch UFC on espn+ and tv cast closes when you open any app from your device to watch videos. Folks I also have LG and Roku smart tvs which any device mirrors instantly for FREE! This is an out dated tech app and they just want your $$..dont waste your time

Plus, you can shut down the screen of the phone while playing media Minus, buffers so slowly and often it makes that media unwatchable. Test was done on a movie downloaded onto my phone.

It appears to be a platform designed to advertise pay "services". Its very hard, if not impossible, to use; a real rip off. Its actually the worst app I have purchased from google.

My samsung tv is connected to my samsung phone vid is playing on my phone tv says connected but its not playing on TV i wasted my 1hr hate it really bad app don't waste ur time im about to change everything samsung to apple... caz its waste of time and screws ur mood after spending so much money which is not worth it.

Waste of time. Will not cast any of the videos. Tried deleting and installing it few times now. Too many ads to watch to try and cast a video that doesn't cast.

I love the app but it's been working for me but for some reason it has stopped allowing me to cast , it says connection error I have no idea how to fix this because there is like no help for the app no trouble shooting or anything

Play a wide variety of formats. But you have to keep the screen on and app open in order to cast to Samsung. The paid version doesn't change that.

Lg xpower android to cast video. Ad pushed did work but it freezes. Played a virtual tour and played with no freezes. I wouldn't buy until seen it works better. Ad push to control cast and lags....

Trash, whats the point of "casting" when my laptop or phones internet runs way better without having to use the same wifi as the tv? Why give you the option to cast only to still have to hook up to the internet??! Thats why the hell im casting !!!

The TV app won't open unless the wireless router is connected to the internet (which I don't have which is the reason I'm trying to cast my phone to the TV), even though both devices are connected to the network.

Its ok, i have the paid version but some ads still show up on my tv when i try to stram something. It needs to work on that.
