Instagram is a great but also bad platform. You could post any image within the existence of mankind, but it will shrink so bad in quality, it would compare to a shriveled grape. Either that or it gets taken down and you have to go through a tedious process of contacting customer support to get your account back - might as well just give up. Cropping system is absolutely horrendous to deal with, pictures with huge different dimensions can't be put in the same post.

loading Last two updates means that I'm now unable to post several photos in one go. It freezes, stops, I lose my edits, but after this last one it's utter chaos! Some photos turns into a pixelated stripy rainbow mess, some gets turned 90 degrees, it's a shambles! There were never any problems years ago, before the dreaded fb and their keen-ness to "fix" everything.... What a mess!

777 Overall really good app. Probably my biggest issue with the app is that it blocks videos with music in the background for copyright purposes. I understand the concern, but there should be an option similar to the one when you put music in stories where you specify the music and the artist. Several of my videos have been blocked when I didn't claim to be the creator of the audio (which can be accessed publicly through spotify) and, in fact, I mentioned the name and artist of the song.

Sponsored ads are suffocating me and there is no option to turn them off for good. Hiding ads and reporting them won't stop more than 500,000 companies that put up ads. I know you want to make money off of it but the way it's going, instagram gonna end up like facebook; a dead platform. That's how they ruined it. Please provide an option to fully turn off the ads. Even after refreshing the feed it displays same message and suggests some random people to me. Succession of problems... first I don't get the messenger chat update, 2nd I couldn't log in my acc, now when I want to share photos or videos in chats the photos and videos are all in disorder for EVERY FOLDER like "Gallery" or "Downloads". Apart from the fact it hasn't worked for 2 days there's so many sponsored ads. Why so many? Lots of people have left Facebook for that same reason and now Instagram is following the same route Facebook took. I have sponsored ads ranging from baby clothes to holidays, neither are of any interest to me. Dont kñow whats happening with the app. I had reinstalled it 6 or 7 times in 2 days. It is just blank with my name on it. Nothing works. After reinstalling if you go back and open the app it wont show anything on page. It also gives the pop up saying close the appIt has never happened before. I am not getting any support too. Im having trouble with this app lately. Every time I try use my phone to post a reel and edit with music in the background. The music is always echoing in the background and on top of that i did a live video on my phone and at the end of the video i tried to end the recording of the video so post it and the app just froze up on me. I had to close the app down and because of that i couldn't recover the video. That was 3 hours of recording lost.

I love this platform but the only downside of it is when you're in dark mode and click on a link that'll lead you out of Instagram, the theme will be a mix of black and white. The text unreadable and all that. Hope it can be fixed. I really love the dark mode in apps. Thanks!

I use honor 9n and the app barely works, the amount of time it takes for the post feature to load i can uninstall and download the app all over again. In the past I Had to close the app multiple times before I can upload a single picture but I can't even do that anymore bc the gallery doesn't load neither does the camera. Last update broke it. No support. :( - something changed on the backend that has made videos unwatchable on high performance devices. Flickering and pixelation so bad that can't see video. Not just on the new Google pixel, my ASUS ZenFone AR is 4k, VR, 8GB of ram, and does it now too. Installing older versions doesn't fix. Change it back!

There are lots of glitches when you switch to watch the reels and then come back to the newsfeed again. Also videos sent in the dms are not being played. What a disgrace man! This app has a few highs and a LOT of lows. To start off swinging, the app itself is very laggy. Videos will stop, but the audio will continue. Sometimes it won't even boot properly. It is plagued with bots, and there is absolutely no avoiding it. This app is terrible, the only redeeming factor being the layout, and meeting very friendly people. Truly a bad app, I'd delete it if my friends weren't on it.

Although it's a good app for business, it sucks cause it's not organized with UI UX. There should be a whole different section where we get to see the posts and stories of accounts we like most or have turned on notifications of. It's so cluttered and messy to navigate as well, the post or account page which I just came across and want to visit once again is probably lost among the gazillion haystack of other posts and videos after refresh.

I have bewn having a hard time sharing content from other app to ig story, for example i want to share songs from spotify to ig story, it wasnt a probkem before but lately it only takes directly to camera of instastort other than it showing the poster of the song. My app won't even open after I leave it. I have to actually uninstall the app to even be able to open it. Instagram needs to be fixed please do so. Why does the layout change every few weeks? My Instagram app updated and I had access to the reels for about a month. Then, this morning, it updated again and now all of the reels are gone and the layout is different. I hate how it changes constantly, there's no consistency. I loved this app at first, but of course Facebook is ruining it with it's liberal BS. Fix dark mode. Portions of it turn back to normal (bright) and can only be fixed by curve quitting. The text field is one that turns white, but the text remains white from dark mode and you can't see what you've typed.

Nothing to say that won't take up over the 500 characters I have to type this review. The moderators and people that are supposed to review this app are terrible at their jobs. No help with support, reports, bugs, nothing. You have to jump through hoops to even send a report and 90% of the time you get nothing back. Half the new updates don't even work for most of the people that use the app, and p help is given. There's illegal photos and business going on but when reported they say it's fine.

Also posts removed apparently pornographic? Yet videos of women having sex, naked pictures from large accounts arnt against your rules?? The newest update is glitchier than the last. Only certain posts show up in the IG stories, others are blank. Direct messages only load to a certain point, loading time for the app itself are longer than necessary, and it crashes if you deviate too much from basic functions. The shopping tab and reels tabs are in really annoying places, they're very rarely used so i dont know why they take up so much space on my screen. I use it because small businesses have to but the people who developed it really ought to test it and find out how their customers experience it before they go live. Since a hell lotta kids fake their age and entered instagram and I wanted to use my real age and birth date. But can't since I gotta wait til July. So this is just a recommendation. You can choose to ignore or add my recommendation to the app since it's just about ages. Since I don't really think you actually care about the ages. But sometimes I think you do, for the better.

It can bring people and communities together , and help with loneliness . But can also do the opposite . There are not enough moderation in the site , to many chat bots , that are sending viruses and other thing to random people .And kids can easily find porn.

Here it is 5 updates and 3 months later and I still cannot comment or like anyone else's pictures and I cannot comment under my own or put a caption under my pics. I have updated everything it needed as well as tried to undownload and re-download the app back and yet it is still doing the same thing. I need this bug fixed ASAP.

I love the instagram app. It's a fun, easy way for me to keep in touch with the daily diaries of my friends, family, and community. I follow some of my favorite causes, artists DJs, museums, and inspirational people, whom I wouldn't know without instagram. Thanks Instagram!

Too many bugs, literally too many. I'm not able to use the music option on my account. Some of my accounts don't update even though I update the app every month, moreover today it suddenly stopped and now I'm not able to open it. I complained about my problem with that music option 3 times but they just won't fix it

i literally cannot go on it. at first i thought maybe there was an update and there was so of course i updated it but i still cant go on it. it crashes every time. i went on the website and it was super laggy and glitchy :/ ive had issues before where it says "cant refresh feed" when my wifi was totally fine, i even used my data but it didnt help. when i send friends a vid/pic through dm the quality is terrible and when i post a pic/vid that isnt text + solid colour the quality is terrible :(

Not sure who thought the new interface (with the shop and the reel tabs on the bottom) would be okay, but it really sucks. It doesn't engage the average user at all anymore. Change it back to how it was. This app is turning into a sell-out. Update: Still feel the same way about the interface. Now, the app is buggy as ever since the last update. The app crashes each time I check out the links from people's bios. I can't even share photos or music from other apps directly anymore.

lately this app disappoints me more and more, as some features freeze sometimes, even if i use the latest updates, the dm notifications don't even bother to appear, the videos in chats don't want to open and it really bugs me every time one problem solves off, another one appears

What the hell is wrong with this app? I'm giving it one star cuz there is something wrong with this app lately. Usually, it works smoothly but since a few days, I'm unable to post any videos along with pictures on Instagram. It's just so annoying, and it seems like a never-ending issue. It always show an error message. It's so sick. I'm unable to use this app.

This is a great app, to stay connected with your friends, either close or far away, and even meet new people. I would've given it a 5 star, if it wasn't for the fact, that I'll open the app once, and it's perfectly fine. Well, I'll then close the app, and try to open it again later, and it won't open for me. It keeps giving me "app won't open, try again?" So I'll click open app again, and it'll keep shutting down. Everytime it does this, the only thing that'll help is if I uninstall and reinstal

I think it's time for Instagram to initiate Encryption. Last dat I had an Bad experience from some hacker stating that he have been monitoring my account for the last two weeks. I was very shocked. And also I was very doubtful when I got link for reset password in my email and to my mobile number. Instagram needs to improve their security and add an encryption to the user data .

The whole # thing is a sham. You dont get followers until you pay them.... ironically half the ads are circulated amongst your followers only. The app stops working as and when it pleases, no matter the update. May appear that its reaching customers but I think beyond a tipping point,nothing beats a solid website, a physical store and a painstakingly build up brand. Its ok for entertainment , celebrities are the ones who earn from it. Small players are just crushed in this online wargame.

Instagram is not functioning properly. Even when I am closing the app the sounds keeps on playing in the background. For the last couple of days when I am trying to open Instagram it says 'INSTAGRAM HAS STOPPED'. Kindly look into this matter... Really very disappointing.👎🏻

Was decent until the newest update & now it says couldn't refresh feed & nothing is updating or working properly. And what's more frustrating is that this is probably only an issue on Samsung/non iPhones. Like come on this is the only Major app still having optimisation problems. It's 2021 get with it 🤦♂️

I love that Instagram gives you the choice over what you want to view, I love the account setup process, I love the account page setup, and the apps set up for navigation. I enjoy the messaging system setup. I love the applications design. Great app for keeping in contact with family and friends. Meeting new people. Keeping contact with customers for business exchanges. The app is great for sharing new life experiences, Arts of all kinds, new products, fashion, modeling, updates on business.

Changing my review for a few reasons. 1. Whenever i leave the app it won't allow me to re-open the app for atleast 30 minutes. 2. When i click on links in the app it goes all over the place. 3. All the filters i have saved have all said they're unavailable. 4. I have to uninstall and then reinstall the app to be able to use it.

Love the content. That's it. Far too many glitches and functions that SHOULD be available, but aren't (e.g., I don't get why you can't share a link to a YouTube video). I have a very difficult time posting more than 2 pics at a time. It's really awful. I've lost so much time trying to create posts. Why can't we simply share our Facebook posts to Instagram? We can do vice versa?!?

Using this app since 2014 , it was better before because there were no reels feature and now instagram is full of tiktokers. Another thing i would like to add is that earlier we were able to see what others are liking and commenting so that it was easy for us to reach new contents ( I wouldn't call it spying , although instagram removed this feature due to privacy, it was good not only for me but others will want it back too .) Thirdly , Instagram report feature works very poorly .

Lately the crashes, loading bugs, and how it feels like an incomplete app has really been annoying me. I've been using instagram for years, and never has it been this annoying. I'd suggest admitting the issue on your end and fixing it. Since I know, with my brand new phone, that its not my issue. It's yours.
