I'm about to uninstall. I understand that ads are necessary in free apps. Normally I just close my eyes and relax for the time it takes to bring up the X to close. But an ad that is almost impossible to close, and that starts to download if you touch any part of the screen is too much. As are the double ads, where as soon as you close one, a new one opens. There are other versions out there.

I thoroughly enjoy this version of Sudoku. But I do have one small complaint. If I accidentally fat finger the wrong key, even though I was aiming at the key next to it, I lose 100 points on my score. And that just irritates the heck out of me. I knew thr right move, but because I can't control my finger, I get penalized. I understand over looking a solution, and I do that too many times. But I hate getting penalized when I can't control a twitch.

The top scores are pretty obviously hacked (one even has a negative time?) and some of the ads now take you to an external website if you try to skip them. I don't usually complain about ads on games that have an ad-free option, but the recent ads (usually for products instead of other mobile games) don't fill the whole screen, rotate, or pop up the skip button a lot more often. It plays well, but the ad and top scores issues both make it a lot less fun to play.

The ads are a pain but the interface is great. I would pay to remove the incredibly intrusive ads if the option was available for a reasonable price. Like many apps, the ads have recently become much worse and harder to navigate. I get they need to make money, but it's getting ridiculous.

I enjoyed it until I found out unique triangle is broken. Solve a puzzle and look it over and there are at least a few double solutions. Please fix. Now I need to find another app until this is solved. Otherwise great app.

I don't mind a quick ad, even if it is between every game, but now there's two ads between each game - full ads in which you cannot click out, and sometimes even commercials. Often the ads take you to the play store when you do finally click out, so you have to start the game again. I will find another Sudoku game.

Expert level includes puzzles without unique solutions. You can reach a stopping point, press hint, and be told "if highlighted box is not (some particular number) the puzzle has more than one solution". That means that puzzle is non-unique as presented and has at least three solutions. That makes it an invalid puzzle. This should be fixed.

I absolutely love Sudoku but having trouble keeping it on the screen when the ads show up. It goes all the way back to install and I have a heck of a time getting it back. I have been trying expert for the last few days and if I take my time I can see some improvement in my game.

I don't often review apps, but this one is fantastic. Sure, it is just another Sudoku app which isn't particularly unique, but it is phenomenal. I have been having a hard time understanding advanced Sudoku techniques and the hint feature of this app points them out in a way that makes sense and has been really helping me. I had to bust out a "finned swordfish" that I never would have found without the hint, but once it showed it to me, I understood the concept.

By having time included in the score it pushes you to think faster, concentrate harder, sometimes guess( at the expert level), and to see/look at the puzzle in new and different ways. There are days when those pieces are not working for me and I have to put it down, but continued practice has improve all of those aspects for me in my daily life. Thank You for helping me to look for things in a different light.

I downloaded this app since my very first smartphone, it was good and flawless, i used to play it on expert mode i really enjoyed whenever i solved the puzzle, however i realized lately i get stuck at expert mode and cannot solve the puzzles through markings and numbers that gives you hints, it is completely turned into a guess game, is it like this intentionally?

Ads are great so that devs would be compensated for their efforts, especially if they made an awesome game. But how would you know if a game is good and worth buying if you get blocked by ads every few clicks? It would be understandable if the ads only went on after every single game, but during a game AND multiple times even? Can't honestly say if this particular version of sudoku is great because I wasn't even able to finish one single game due to the intrusive ads. Skip this game for that.

This is a straight forward game without too much clutter to detract from a basic game of sudoku. I just wish the themes were simpler. It would be nice to do custom puzzles, and be able to use different rule sets like knights move and the like. I would like to be able to select multiple cells at a time and also paint them different colors for a different way of visualization.

This used to be a fantastic app, but yesterday it began crashing every time I open the app. When I cleared the app data it briefly fixed it, but it also cleared all my scores, and after closing the app and trying to open it again later the glitch came back. I hope this gets fixed, I've tried so many sudoku apps and none of them have been as functional as this one is.

This is easily the best Sudoku trainer app I've seen! I love how it not only provides the answer when asked, but also presents the reason why or how we can solve a similar challenge in the future. This helps us all become better players! I want to give it 5 stars, and am ready to buy! But the available theme customizations are bad. For example, look at Beetles Game Studio's Sudoku - Free to see how they handled Night mode. It is pleasant to use at night, and the candidates are easy to see.

Would really like this app, but color scheme makes it almost impossible to see actual numbers & notes played & available. This is on a phone screen, so it is already hindered by the small size of the numbers. Here's the scenario. Colors are those found in the woods during early spring. Drop a handful of rice in front of you. Try to find every single grain of rice you dropped. Not fun. Use better contrast of colors and game remains challenging & fun.

They put unskippable ads after every game. Makes the simple game/app a pain to use. Use to have banner ads at the bottom of the game play which was much better but at least it didn't make you sit through two 30sec ads.

The puzzles are great.....the adverts not so much. I feel like this app lulled me into a false sense of security by showing no adverts for the first few days...now however I will be mid puzzle and all of a sudden an advert pops up. Annoyingly the adverts also interrupt whatever I am listening to on Spotify, which I then have to re-open and set back up.... very annoying. But I do enjoy the puzzles, the hints and notes options

Sorry but I uninstall any trash app that has full screen ads that block the app. This is a new record as I got one less than a minute after installing it. Ads should never block the apps functionality, it just show that the ads are more important than the app.

Easy to difficult, it allows you to choose a level. "Breezy" can be done in a matter 2-5 mimutes, other test you, but it allows you to "make notes" as to possible choices. Lovely game.

I tried several apps for sudoku before finding this one. Most apps take the solved puzzle away before you are able to stair at it with a sense of accomplishment. This one leaves it up, also, if you are trying to learn the other more complex strategies of the game the hint system is very helpful for that! Auto fill is an alright feature as well, if you don't enjoy plugging all the possibilities in yourself. Very few ads compared to other apps also. All around a pretty great sudoku app!

Very well featured sudoku app. Also has a great hint system that explains why you can make a decision, and not just put an answer somewhere. Can easily train people that only know the basic rules to solving hard (4 out of 5 difficulty) Other nice features include - configurable auto fill/clear for notes - configurable auto check settings - highlights: if you have a number selected, it will highlight boxes with that number in the notes - no ads during play, only in between games and no banners

Well done. Enjoyable to play. I like that you can adjust speed, color, sounds, hints Etc to your own liking. Timer can be turned on or off. Squares are easy to fill with just a tap on the number. Numbers possible in that square are the only ones lit.

It drains the battery. My smartphone (S9+) gets really warm after 5 minutes. I don't know how much energy is used to run this game but it doesn't make sense. Also, my solution is never right. It's always the computer who's right, even though I already found more than one solution for solving the puzzle

Recent update changed how they do ads. It used to be an unobtrusive ad at the bottom at all times, free apps have to make money, I get it. Now it's video ads whenever you start a new game or resume. Uninstalling what was a great sudoku app.

This Sudoku apo has smart design. The hints help but do not give away answer. The highlight function allows for aid in process of elimination. Well done. Update: On harder difficulties the hints can teach new logic rules a player may not have known.

App is great. Expert difficulty seems almost impossible without guessing for me, but mathematically I know it's possible. Hard difficulty is perfect for light logic and reasoning and helps me relax. Auto-fill feels like cheating, so I'm glad there is a seperation between scores in Stats. Paint by number mode should be on by default IMO, but it's fine to just tap it every time. Overall, this is one of the best apps I have ever downloaded.

This is my favorite of the sudoku apps I've tried. For one, it has a lot of options - auto check, auto pencil fill, number painting, etc., or you could play fully manual. For another, though, if you ask for a hint, it'll first show you what you're looking for (hidden pair, jellyfish, x-wing, etc.), and you can take that and go, or you can let it walk you through what those are (if you're ignorant like me) and how to use them. It teaches you tools to solve harder puzzles as you play

I had rated this previously with 5 stars - the game interface is great. I didn't mind the static ads previously as I understand the need for them, but the recent change to video ads where you're forced to watch and listen to a few seconds of loud multimedia ads, and then click several times to skip them, has made it unplayable for me. I love the game but have a suggestion. It would be nice to have the Note feature automatly turn on after a certain amount of seconds of no activity. That would help with being charged a mistake because someone forgot to turn it on before attempting to type a note. Love the app, but after just a few days of using the hint option as a self-teaching tool, would love the option of "painting" cells different colors to help identify advanced solving techniques like xwings, swordfish and jellyfish, that are harder to visualize. Giving us the option to paint the cells the way the hints are displayed would be a great addition. I will be searching the other sudoku apps for this feature.

This game is almost perfect. I'd give 5 stars if there were a way to highlight boxes with penciled in numbers even if the number is nowhere in the puzzle. For example, I penciled 3 in a bunch of places, but I can't see all the positions and highlight them because there are no definite 3s in the puzzle I'm trying to solve.

Love it. Only complaint is the difficulty gap between hard and expert. I can solve hard all day, but then expert starts throwing out terms I've never heard of. Suggestions: - Make explanations for "advanced" tactics clearer. I dont know when to look for a Y-wing or X-wing - Make a hint mode that says "look for the X-wing" instead of showing exactly where it is - Scale up the hard difficulty a little bit so that the jump isn't as extreme Beautiful layout and intuitive to use

excellent way to learn, starting from basics to advanced. they give excellent short-cuts that allow you to get right into solving puzzles that don't qualify as cheats. even their cheats do so in a way that teaches you more advanced methods. missing a star because they need a level between HARD and ADVANCED. They skip teaching basic x-wing, swordfish and jellyfish and jump right into finned, sushimi. also, they could use a better color scheme for high contrast

Best sudoku game I've played. What I love the most is that I can *learn* new techniques. I can do the Hard level on my own, but generally get caught up on the Expert level. The "Hints" are not just give aways. They hint, then give you the name of the technique (I sometimes look it up externally), then if you press next, they'll give you even more info. It really contributes to skill building!

I love sudoku and this app allows you to play without any stupid and unnecessary bells or whistles. There are occasional ads but you can typically skip them after 5 seconds. My only frustration, which doesn't really matter I guess, is that the global scores are impossible. Like for example the top global score for the breezy level is 1.4 seconds... I'm sorry that is physically impossible even for the easiest level. It's annoying because I would like to contrast the global scores to mine

The difficulty levels are very inconsistent. Some easy levels are harder than some hard levels. Also pencil marks are able to erase entries which leads to problems when doing harder puzzles if you are not perfect in your touching. Overall better than most but not the best Sudoku puzzle game

Love the game except for one incredibly annoying issue. The screen times out and turns black after 3 minutes of not touching the board. This interrupts my concentration as sometimes I figure the board for 10 minutes or more on paper. I need that annoying blackout to STOP. Other than that I would have given the game 5 stars. As it is I am going to have to uninstall it if something isn't done about it.
